A seasoned professional journalist with more than twenty years of experience with top-tier news service organizations, Nancy Churnin is currently a senior features writer for the Dallas Morning News, specializing in kids entertainment, family, lifestyles and health.

Before joining the Dallas Morning News, she served as an award-winning theater critic for the San Diego edition of the Los Angeles Times and reported on theater with local connections from Russia and New York.

She developed skills in writing for children as an assistant editor at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, specializing in the development of a children’s encyclopedia.

Always interested in learning, Nancy has traveled across the world, visiting England, Ireland, France, Russia, Poland, Italy, Czechoslavakia, Austria, Germany and Israel.
